A brilliant night of brass banding around Saddleworth, visiting 6 villages in total!
We started the afternoon off at Delph working our way through to Lydgate, Grotton, Lees, Scouthead and finally Greenfield. Unfortunately at Greenfield, by the time it was our turn to go onto the stage, the midnight curfew had passed, which meant we were unable to play, a disappointing end to the evening.
This year we decided to march down the street to a piece of pop music, which was really well received by the crowds lining the routes! The atmosphere at all venues was unreal!
Our community band, Tower Brass, joined us on the street march and for the majority of the members, this was their first Whit Friday experience!
It was also brilliant to see the number of bands out in Saddleworth, on one of the busiest nights on record!
A huge congratulations & well done to all the bands who took part, a huge thank you to all the organisers, supporters, volunteers, & coach drivers for making this night possible!
