Players return to the Brass Band Scene with Lindley

Lindley Band would like to announce the welcome return to the brass band scene of two highly experienced players.  Ex Besses euphonium Keith Johnson commences his second stint at Lindley, this time on the solo seat.  Keith says he was lured back into playing with the promise of enjoyment and beer!  Also, following a 4 year break from banding, Dave Seymour joins Lindley on bass trombone. This is Dave’s first venture onto the bass trombone seat during his illustrious 50 year playing career and he is excited about this new challenge....

Further Additions

Lindley band announces a couple more signings this week.  Firstly they would like to welcome Jenny Cook to the first baritone seat from the Yorkshire Imps, where she enjoyed successful stints on both baritone and tenor horn.  The signing of Jenny completes the strengthening of the horn/baritone line at Lindley. New CD!

The band has had a busy but fabulous weekend recording for our new CD. Thanks to Jess and Keith for their professional and efficient service. Grateful thanks to the following players who helped us out over the weekend, Kyle Blake, Joe Hainsworth, David Hoyle, Nik Payne, Lauren Pickles, Helen Stansfield and Les Tobitt. Also enormous thanks to the very talented Andi Cook for allowing the band to record his super new composition and for conducting the band during the recording of Rob’s solo. The CD should be out in time for Christmas so we all know what everyone is getting for a present this year!...

Victoria On The Run

The band is very proud of its intrepid trombone player Victoria Oliver and her husband well regarded percussionist Simon Oliver, who are both taking part in the London Marathon on the 22nd April.  Victoria is running to raise money for the Motor Neurone Disease Association and Simon for the Teenage Cancer Trust. It’s not too late to sponsor them via their fundraising pages below.  Good Luck to you both! https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/Victoria-Oliver4MNDA https://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/fundraiser-display/showROFundraiserPage?userUrl=Simonsgoingtofinish&pageUrl=2...
